Read-a-thon Saturday and Sunday!

Last Day/Read-a-thon Results!

Books Read:
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
Macbeth by William Shakespeare
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare
Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris

Book Goal: 6-10
Mission Fail :-(

So I did not reach my goal of 6-10 books read this week. I was really tired last
night and forgot to post my reading results and part of that was because I knew the chances of me finishing on the weekend were slim given my schedule.  I am proud that I managed to read 5 books however! I'm basically caught up with my Annual Book Challenge and I think this was a great way to get me adjusted and back into the mindset of reading for fun
I cannot wait for the next read-a-thon!

Happy reading!

Read-a-thon Friday!

Day Five Results!

Books Read:
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
Macbeth by William Shakespeare
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare
Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris

Book Progress
So I didn't get as much reading done today as I was hoping to; primarily do to being at work. I'm also not really into the Barber of Seville right now so I think I might shift gears and read a different book. I might go off the list and read The Fault in Our Stars but I'm not entirely sure yet.  Either way, I'm one book away from reaching my goal!!! Hopefully I can read past six books but I'm not too sure that's likely.

Read-a-thon Thursday! [Posting Late...Oops]

Day Four Results!

Books Read:
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
Macbeth by William Shakespeare
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare
Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris

Book Progress
BAM! I hit 5 books in four day!! I think maybe I cheated a little since some of those books I had started prior to the read-a-thon but that's why I'm going to try and read the rest of these? I finished Dead Ever After last night and was too tired to update my blog and Goodreads that's why I'm taking care of it now.  I have work today so not sure how much reading I'm going to get done today but I'm going to attempt to read The Barber if Seville and The Marriage of Figaro. I'll post my results tonight, I promise!!!

Happy reading!

Book Progress

So I failed to make an actual update statement thing yesterday, primarily because I was really tired last night after my internship.  Commuting 1.5 hours, especially after spending a day reading Zoning Ordinances, can be pretty tiring. But I was able to finish another book yesterday!
I'm trying to get about halfway through Dead Ever After I'm about 130 pages into it. Hopefully if I get halfway through I can finish it tomorrow? I might start The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro though just to get to five books by Friday. Check out my Twitter and Goodreads for some late night updates!!!

Read-a-thon Monday

Day One Results!

Books Read:
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
Macbeth by William Shakespeare (I only read the play within the book I had, not any of the analysis)

Book Progress
I'm uploading this a little early primarily because I'm not sure I'll get much more reading done today! If I happen to read more I'll update this post later.

I actually finished Mountains Beyond Mountains last Friday therefore I'm not going to count it as a book read for the book-a-thon.  And since I had read most of An Abundance of Katherines before starting the book-a-thon I may throw in another book to read/ try to read 6-10 books instead of 5-10.

So far I finished two books and am nearly half way through another! *fingers crossed* I'm hoping I actually read all the books I have listed to read this week because I forgot what it's like to take your free time to read and not do something mindless like watch tv or play video games!  This should help me restore the healthy balance of both games and reading, and it will also help me get back on track for my yearly reading challenge!

Good luck fellow read-a-thoners! Happy reading!!

Bout of Books Read-A-Thon 7.0!!!

Why hello there....
So it's been a little over a month since I last posted anything (oops) but I'm not going to apologize for this or feel bad or anything you know why? Because school, that's why, school this semester was not all rainbows and unicorns. It was battles to the death and jousting and...you guys get the picture. I finished my 3rd year at university, which means one more year until I have a degree which is both thrilling and terrifying. But, I do have a reading goal, and have manged to fall five books behind already yikes! I plan to take this summer to get caught up and (fingers crossed) ahead of schedule so that when Fall semester rolls around it won't be that big of a deal if I manage to not read anything until December.
Since the semester has ended and this thing called a read-a-thon by Bouts of Books starts next week I thought, what the hell might as well jump right into it!
So what is this Read-a-thon?
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 7.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog- From the Bout of Books team
This year the book-a-thon starts  May 13th and goes until the 19th.
The Plan
The plan is to read everyday as much as possible for this week. I have about 2-3 hours with my commute to my internship that I'll be able to read, and pretty much any spare time that isn't spent at work or working out etc. I will read
Goals
As of now the goal is to read 5-10 books, at least two of which are plays.
Books to be Read
Updates?
To keep track of where I am with all these books I will be posting a blog daily, updating my Goodreads account, and will be attempting to tweet as I go through books using the #boutofbooks tag.

So that's my little tidbit on what's going on here at coffehandsuch. If you're participating in the read-a-thon good luck to you!

Happy reading!~
